The Saudi Transport Ministry banned 22 contractors from competing in future projects due to delays in delivering their current projects, Reuters-affiliated website Zawya reports.
The ministry will withdraw projects from contractors if they do not complete projects on time and up to the proper standards, Saad Alkhalbi, deputy minister of transport, said during a workshop in the kingdom.
Alkhalbi also revealed that the ministry plans to privatize some of the transport sector projects’ such as roads, railways, ports and aviation.
