Saudi Ministry of Justice Transfers 190,700 Outdated Real Estate Deeds to Comprehensive Electronic System

According to recent government statistics, around 190,700 outdated manual real estate deeds have been transferred to the comprehensive electronic system since the beginning of 2023, Invest-Gate reports.

Of these deeds, 75% were related to residential buildings, and 25% were for commercial properties. The Riyadh region had the highest number of updated deeds, with 69,184, accounting for 36.3% of the total updated deeds.

Aseer region ranked second with 21,986, followed by the Eastern Province with 21,459, and Makkah with 19,441.

Other regions that had a significant number of updated deeds included Jazan with 6,055, Tabuk with 3,937, and Najran with 3,871. The Northern Borders region had the lowest number of outdated manual deeds transferred to the electronic system, with only 2,907 updated deeds.

Beneficiaries can upload the deed and other necessary documents through the Justice Portal to request a manual real estate deed update to the electronic system. Once the request is processed, the beneficiary will receive a message to collect the electronic deed.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Justice offers a service to update manual real estate deeds to the electronic system, which supports digitalizing real estate data and simplifies real estate procedures for beneficiaries.
