Schneider Electric has reported strong sustainability achievements in Q1 2025, with its Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) score reaching 7.95 out of 10—progressing steadily toward its annual target of 8.80, Invest-Gate reports.
Recognized by Corporate Knights as the world’s most sustainable corporation earlier this year, Schneider continues to lead in energy efficiency, clean technology, and social impact. The company has helped customers avoid nearly 700 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions, supported by initiatives like the second Energize Power Purchase Agreement, which secures renewable energy for four global healthcare firms over the next decade.
Schneider also recorded a 42% reduction in emissions across its top 1,000 suppliers, reflecting its strong upstream decarbonization efforts. On the social front, the company has brought energy access to 56 million people through clean-energy solutions for underserved communities, including programs in education, healthcare, and agriculture.
Chris Leong, Schneider’s Chief Sustainability Officer, emphasized the company’s community-focused mission: “From innovating environmental solutions to supporting livelihoods, our people are relentlessly turning ambition into action.”
Local partnerships remain a key focus, with over 200 grassroots initiatives launched since 2021. Notably, Schneider Electric UK and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation recently launched a STEM program to equip students with sustainability skills.
The company has also earned several prestigious accolades in 2025, including recognition from the World Economic Forum for its Wuxi factory, a top 10 global ranking in the Carbon Clean 200, and inclusion in Ethisphere’s list of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the 14th consecutive year.
Through these milestones, Schneider Electric reinforces its leadership in sustainable innovation and inclusive development across global communities.
