Schneider Electric Advances Smart Building Solutions with Strategic Partnerships in Egypt

Schneider Electric hosted its “Innovation Day for Buildings of the Future,” a two-day event showcasing its latest integrated digital solutions designed to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency across key sectors, including healthcare, hospitality, and commercial real estate, Invest-Gate reports.

During the event, Schneider Electric signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Egypt Healthcare Authority, PARAGON Developments, and ECOnsult . The agreements aim to implement smart building solutions in major real estate projects across Egypt, reinforcing Schneider’s position as a strategic partner in the country’s digital transformation and sustainability goals.

Rahul Mehta, VP of Digital Energy at Schneider Electric Middle East & Africa, said the company follows a three-step approach—strategy, digital transformation, and decarbonisation—to accelerate the transition towards net-zero buildings.

Sebastien Riez, CEO of Schneider Electric for Northeast Africa and the Levant, highlighted the impact of applying the company’s technologies at its Cairo headquarters, where emissions were reduced by 50%, electricity bills decreased by 30%, and building capacity increased by 30%. “This led to receiving LEED v4 Gold and Platinum SmartScore certifications—an unprecedented achievement within the company’s global facilities,” he said.

The MoU with Egypt Healthcare Authority focuses on improving healthcare facilities through smart, sustainable digital technologies. Authority Head Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky noted the partnership supports building a more efficient, innovative healthcare system aligned with international standards.

PARAGON  CEO Bedeir Rizk stated that the Paragon 3 project will utilise EcoStruxure solutions to deliver a safe, digital, and sustainable workspace. ECOnsult  Chair Sarah El Battouty stressed the importance of mainstreaming green building practices to reduce environmental impact.

Ramy Moustafa, VP of Buildings & Distribution at Schneider Electric NEA and the Levant, said, “Decarbonising buildings is critical. Our technologies help integrate renewables and optimise energy use to meet global climate targets.”
