Schneider Electric has completed the renovation of its distribution center in 10th of Ramadan City, reinforcing its commitment to operational efficiency and sustainability in Egypt, Invest-Gate reports.
The upgraded facility incorporates Schneider Electric’s advanced solutions to enhance performance, safety, and environmental standards. These include a Building Management System (BMS) for precise energy monitoring and distribution, a smart factory system for data management and logistics optimization, and a digital transformation system (LDS) that improves efficiency and minimizes waste.
The center features advanced technologies such as wireless RF scanners for real-time inventory tracking, an automatic wrapping machine for safer goods handling, and safety equipment like PIT-mounted cameras and monitors, wheel stoppers, and stabilizers. A central Transport Control Tower oversees logistics operations with high precision.
Sebastien Riez, CEO of Schneider Electric North East Africa and Levant, said, “Our distribution center in 10th of Ramadan is a real example of innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. It strengthens our position as a strategic partner supporting Egypt’s digital transformation and sustainable development goals.”
The center has earned a “Net Zero Carbon” certificate by achieving zero carbon emissions annually through the implementation of the EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert system, off-site renewable energy use, and electric vehicles. The site reduces around 146 tons of CO₂ emissions each year, aligning with Schneider Electric’s broader sustainability mission.
