As part of the previously announced partnership with DWI – Deutsche Wasser International (Germany) and the Consulting Engineers Group, aimed at establishing a specialized entity for the management, operation, and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure in the New Administrative Capital according to the highest international standards, the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) today signed a Service Level Agreement with the newly established company in Berlin, Germany, Invest-Gate reports.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of ACUD, and Mr. Christoph Haag, CEO of the new company.
Under the terms of the agreement, the new entity will be responsible for providing, operating, and maintaining potable water services, irrigation systems, sewage networks, and stormwater drainage infrastructure. The company will fully comply with the highest standards of quality and safety across all operational activities. It will also carry out routine and emergency maintenance, supply spare parts, and deploy qualified technical personnel.
Commenting on the signing, Eng. Khaled Abbas stated, “We are proud to sign this agreement with international partners who possess an impressive track record in water infrastructure management. This milestone reflects our commitment to delivering integrated and advanced infrastructure services that meet global standards and provide an exceptional quality of life for the residents of the New Capital.”
Abbas added, “The scope of work for the new company will also include the operation and management of desalination plants, wastewater treatment facilities, distribution networks, transmission lines, and water recycling systems—ensuring resource sustainability and achieving operational efficiency in line with the latest technical and scientific standards.”
