Oman’s Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD) signed an agreement with Galfar Engineering and Contracting over the construction of a fishery port in Duqm, according to a press release Monday.
The contract involves marine and road related works at an approximate cost of OMR 60.7 mn with a scheduled construction period of 30 months. The fishing port of Duqm is the largest in Oman with an area of 600 hectares.
SEZAD also signed a second agreement with Sering International Engineering Consulting Company in cooperation with ADK for consultancy services construction supervision of the fishery port.
Also on Monday, SEZAD signed a contract for infrastructure and work at the port with MSF Engenharia and Serka Taahüt.
