The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has begun construction on Al Badayer Desert Camp, according to a press release from Wednesday.

The project, valued at AED 45 mn, is designed to become a premium leisure and adventure destination in the emirate of Sharjah and will stretch over 24,000 square meters.

Al Badayer will include an urban resort, a desert lodge as well as cafés and other amenities, such as an amphitheater, a mosque, shops and recreational areas.

Al Badayer Desert Camp is a 40-minute drive away from the city of Sharjah and is part of Shurooq’s drive to develop several tourist and leisure destinations in the emirate.
