President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has embarked on an inspection tour of a number of mega development projects being implemented at El Galala City in the northeastern governorate of Suez, Ain Sokhna, Invest-Gate reports.

El-Sisi toured the new integrated city, while inspecting the touristic resort, industrial zone, phosphate factory, and the international marble complex, where he was briefed on the operational position of these projects as well as the work progress there, according to a Facebook post on the president’s official account on December 20.

The president also met a number of engineers, contractors, and employees of the national companies executing these projects, which aim to establish an integrated development community that comprises all the residential, commercial, educational, and industrial services under one roof.

They also target benefiting from the clean environment and temperate temperature on Galala plateau, through building touristic projects that will also contribute to the development of this region.

To provide more than 150,000 jobs in all fields, the projects are implemented by more than 100 Egyptian companies and engineering consultancy offices, under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority (AFEA), according to the post.

El-Sisi praised the efforts exerted to complete these projects as scheduled, adding that these projects aim at achieving comprehensive development through the establishment of new integrated urban communities that provide a decent life and a better future for the Egyptian people.

Covering 19,000 acres of Galala Mountain, El Galala City will also boast King Abdullah University, residential buildings for upper- and middle-classes, schools, a business district, entertainment facilities, in addition to a marina, retail shops, restaurants, waterpark, a mountain hotel, amongst other services and amenities.
