Sixth of October Development and Investment Company (SODIC) sponsored El Tawasol Charitable Association during its participation in Milan’s L’Artigiano in Fiera, the world’s largest handicraft exhibition, held from December 1 to 9, Invest-Gate reports.
Tawasol showcased a high-quality handmade collection, including clothes and home products, to promote the Egyptian culture and heritage and allocated the sales revenue to fund the student expenses of Tawasol for Developing Istabl Antar School, according to an official statement by SODIC on December 24.
Tawasol for Developing Istabl Antar, which is accredited by the Ministry of Education, is a community school run by Tawasol for students who dropped out their studies.
This sponsorship deal comes as part of SODIC’s corporate responsibility program that affects the lives of around 150,000 people and benefits the local community, the company said.
L’Artigiano in Fiera exhibition, which hosts more than 1.67 mn attendees annually, gathered several artisans, along with a huge collection of artworks and handmade creations from all around the world.
