The Southern Al Fangary Bridge has started its experimental operation on November 25, Invest-Gate reports.

The bridge is the first phase of Al Fangary Axis development project which will link the Rod El Farag Axis in the west with El Mosher axis in the east, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly says in a statement.

The project aims to ease the traffic burden in the capital, and reduce the distance between the east and west of Cairo.

The bridge is 1,487-meter in length and 23-meter in width.
