Southern Section of 30 June Axis Completed: Madbouly

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly reveals that the southern section of the 30 June Axis is now completed, Invest-Gate reports.

With a length of 47.2 kilometers, the southern section connects Alsalehya Road with the beginning of Cairo-Ismailia road.

The southern section includes seven tunnels and 12 bridges, according to a press statement.

The 30 June Axis is 95 kilometers in length and 80 meters in width, starting from South Port Said through the International Port Said-Damietta Road and ending at Cairo-Ismailia Road.

The axis is a two-way road, and each way is divided into five lanes (three for cars and two for trucks ), in addition to two service lanes on both sides of the axis.

The axis project comprises 16 bridges, 16 tunnels, six service stations, and four terminals for toll road collection.

Madbouly also revealed that 20 contractors are working on the project, 13 of which are working on roads while seven are carrying out bridges, with a total cost of EGP 5.15 bn.
