A group of Spanish investors are willing to increase their investments in Egypt amid improving investment climate, invest-Gate reports.
At a meeting with Spanish investors in Barcelona, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr say that Egypt is looking forward to an increase in Spanish investments in Egypt, especially in the country’s major national projects, including the Suez Canal Development Project, the New Administrative Capital and solar projects.
“Egypt is welcoming more investments from Spain, especially in national developmental projects such as the Suez Canal project and the New Administrative Capital,” Nasr says.
Nasr is on a visit to Spain to attend the Crans Montana Forum which features approximately 600 current and former heads of states and governments and representatives from a number of major global companies.
According to official reports, Spanish investments in Egypt stand at USD 1.1 bn.
