Special Housing Project to Develop, New Cairo

Around 48 tenders will be offered to construct a special housing project in New Cairo encompassing 5,700 residential units spread among 281 buildings, Invest-Gate reports.

“The lands within the project will be used for various activities,” said Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly.

New Cairo is witnessing the implementation of 455 buildings in the Kornfel area as part of the first phase Dar Misr project targeting middle-income citizens.

Several amenities will also be implemented, including commercial markets and mosques. The city previously offered lands for public services development in an auction held earlier, according to a statement released by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).

Other developments in New Cairo include adding facilities to vacant lands, enhancing rural sanitation networks, developing water treatment plants, as well as an electricity station with higher potential, and a park.
