Sponsored by Madinet Masr: Egypt Hosts Major Architecture Event “Mobilia The Jewel”

Mobilia, a leading international platform for design, held its largest conference and event “Mobilia The Jewel” in Egypt in cooperation with Meraki & Beyond for conferences and parties, LVCE – Functional Art Studio, and sponsored by Madinet Masr for Housing and Development, Invest-Gate reports.

The massive event gathered hundreds of architectural designers, interior design companies, and local and international design firms. It also featured a significant presence of jewellery design and manufacturing experts and real estate developers.

Mobilia stated the event aims to integrate art and architecture and put Egyptian projects on the global architectural map. The conference intends to foster a spirit of global competition between numerous designers in decoration, and design, and international professionals in jewellery design.

Mobilia The Jewel strives to create exceptional events and innovative designs by uniting construction and art/design professionals. It also aims to produce the latest international designs to highlight Egypt’s architectural destinations, aligning with the urban development renaissance occurring in Egypt.

A competition is being held under the supervision of architect Lamia Khairy, Mobilia’s founder and a specialist in architectural and interior design. It is being implemented by Meraki and Beyond, one of the largest conference and event organizers in Egypt and the Middle East. LVCE is providing technical supervision.

The event is in partnership with Madinet Masr, which embraced the concept and is sponsoring it. The company signed a partnership with world-renowned designer Karim Rashid for interior design and architecture.

Rashid became famous for his unique design style and is considered one of the best international designers of his generation. He has designed projects across interior design, fashion, furniture, lighting, art and music.

Madinet Masr expressed excitement about sponsoring the event and eagerness to achieve remarkable outcomes.

Karim Rashid praised the warm reception in his native Egypt. He is happy with Egypt’s constant development and believes it is ready to be a fertile environment for modern architecture amidst a qualitative shift in its architecture.

Rashid said Egypt’s architectural identity was hijacked long ago and now is the right time for its return, as Egypt is the motherland of architecture.

Rashid applauded the partnership with Madinet Masr, explaining few real estate companies want to present a product with a distinctive architectural character.

He stated that Madinet Masr wanted to give its works an artistic identity, presenting culture, art, character and identity at a time when Egypt’s identity was hijacked for a long period.

Abdullah Salam, CEO and Managing Director of Madinet Masr, expressed enthusiasm for Madinet Masr’s participation in the distinguished event merging architecture and art.
