Eng. Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, confirmed the strong turnout for the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative during the first hours since its launch, Invest-Gate reports.

He noted that the total amount collected within 48 hours of opening reservations reached approximately $2.5 mn through various payment methods, including electronic payments and bank transfers.

During a press conference held on Sunday, attended by Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, El Sherbini launched the official website of the initiative and announced its executive steps. He pointed out that despite opening reservations only last Thursday, the volume of reservation deposits paid reflected the confidence of Egyptians abroad in the state’s efforts to provide distinguished and suitable housing in their homeland, along with attractive investment opportunities in the housing sector.

El Sherbini added that the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative aligns with the directives of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to enable Egyptians abroad to benefit from the development advantages and investment opportunities the country has experienced over the past ten years. The ministry has aimed to meet the diverse needs of Egyptians abroad and provide suitable opportunities for various segments.

He explained that this initiative is not just an opportunity for ownership; it is a gateway to stability and investment in a country brimming with promising opportunities.

El Sherbini also referred to the signing of a tripartite cooperation protocol between the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Banque Misr, and eFinance. This collaboration aims to provide advanced electronic payment solutions, allowing easy and secure payment options through multiple channels, thereby facilitating the transfer of funds for reserving housing units from various countries.

He confirmed that the initiative’s official website serves as an integrated electronic platform, offering a unique experience for those wishing to purchase their housing units. It enables users to view the units remotely via high-resolution virtual tours, along with details of the project sites and surrounding services. Additionally, it allows users to complete booking procedures electronically with ease and transparency, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for Egyptians abroad.
