Suez Canal Insurance Acquires Policy Bid for Projects in New Alamein City

Suez Canal Insurance (SCI), an Egyptian composite insurer, has been awarded a policy bid to insure a number of new projects worth EGP 5 bn in New Alamein City, northwest of Cairo, Zawya reports.

Moshira Maamoun, SCI’s engineering sector head, told Amwal Al Ghad last week that these projects will include the execution of infrastructure as well as residential units and towers in the city.

New Alamein City will be a complete city of a unique location on the Mediterranean coast with a façade of more than 14 km, equivalent to the length of Alexandria’s Corniche.

The city is expected to comprise around 25,000 hotel rooms, a 320,000-meter-square tourist walkway, 16500-meter-square recreation area, schools, universities, and various services and activities.

Additionally, a hospitality center will be launched by École hôtelière de Lausanne [Lausanne Hotel School], a Swiss specialized college in the field of hospitality and hotels,  in the city to generate outstanding cadres in the field of hotel management and operation in Egypt and the region.
