Swiss International announced the arrival of its first two hotels in Riyadh, adding to its already four hotels in the kingdom, according to a press release published by Reuters Zawya last week.

Swiss International Royal Hotel and the midscale Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites Metropolitan will be located in the Al Sahafa district and are scheduled to open in December 2016 and January 2017 respectively.

Hospitality Development Group, which is also known as Swiss International Middle-East, will operate both hotels. Swiss International looks to grow its presence in the Middle East to 30 hotels by 2020.

The company in its press release also talked of the growing opportunities in Saudi Arabia as the country now makes up the second-largest hub for hotels in the Middle East after the UAE.
