TAMEER Contracts with Nine Consulting Offices for UBL Project

TAMEER signs strategic partnership contracts with nine of the most prominent consulting offices in Egypt and abroad to manage, implement and market the Urban Business Lane (UBL) project, Invest-Gate reports.

UBL project is one of the largest investment business districts in New Cairo with an area of more than 55,000 sqm. It employs a modern vision, which represents a qualitative leap in the concepts of commercial and administrative development projects to keep pace with the developments that Egypt is currently seeing at all levels.

Further, UBL project provides a variety of spaces that suit all companies, whether large, medium, or small. In addition, UBL has employed a modern design approach based on cutting-edge philosophy that allows individuals to work outside the traditional office space. The project is built around a central garden with an area of 60,000 sqm.

Saad Al Wazzan, chairman and managing director of TAMEER, states, “UBL project comes within the framework of the company’s strategy to provide innovative and modern administrative and commercial solutions, in order to provide customers with safe investment opportunities and environmentally friendly design specifications.”

Alike, the company selects the best local and international consultants and companies to design the project and supervise its implementation.

On his part, Alaa Anwar, CDO of TAMEER, reveals the list of the companies working on the project, including:

  • JLL will be a project manager to manage and review the design and supervise the site during the construction phase
  • ACE (Arab Consulting Engineers Company – Muharram Bakhoum) to be a multidisciplinary consultant and oversee the multidisciplinary engineering design for UBL as well as the infrastructure, central park design, and the site coordination of the project
  • Architecture Studio to be the main architect for the project and will be in charge of the distinctive and innovative architectural design concept
  • Kout Capital as the investment manager for the project
  • Solidere International to develop the main concept and vision of UrbanWalk that responds to market demands and expected target groups
  • GILLESPIES to coordinate and design the central park
  • Colliers and Coldwell Banker for their experience and capabilities in real estate consultancy, valuation, and land pricing

Ayman Sami, country head of Egypt at JLL, notes that the company will provide an integrated set of activities that will ensure the implementation of the project to the fullest image, as well as represent a qualitative leap in the concept of business districts not only in Egypt but in the Middle East.

For his part, Head of the Commercial Sector of TAMEER Mohamad Younis says that UBL project is one of the distinguished business investment districts and located in the heart of New Cairo, next to the Azad project. The project is also near the American University in Cairo, 20 minutes away from the NAC, and 15 minutes away from Cairo International Airport.

Younis reveals that TAMEER obtains the ministerial decision on UBL project. Phase I will be launched soon and delivered after three years with payment terms of up to seven years. Additionally, the total administrative area in phase I is 66,000 sqm, with areas starting from 75 sqm.

As for the total commercial spaces, it reaches 16,000 sqm and features parking spaces for 3,000 cars to suit different business and corporate sector needs.
