Tatweer Misr, one of Egypt’s leading real estate developers, hosted the country’s first-ever shore fishing championship at its flagship project, IL Monte Galala in Ain Sokhna, under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Environment, Invest-Gate reports.
The event reflects Tatweer Misr’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and its vision to position IL Monte Galala as a sustainable, year-round destination blending nature, community, and innovation. Organized in collaboration with Ethical Anglers, the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), and the Egyptian Sport Fishing Federation, the tournament brought together more than 50 amateur and professional anglers from Egypt and the Arab region.
By promoting responsible fishing practices and marine conservation, the event supports Egypt’s national efforts toward eco-tourism and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). IL Monte Galala’s scenic Red Sea shoreline provided a vibrant setting that celebrated both sport and nature while strengthening Egypt’s growing reputation in marine sports.
This initiative underscores Tatweer Misr’s ongoing role as a private-sector leader driving sustainability and community engagement through projects that align with Egypt’s development vision and global environmental standards.
