Minister of Transport, Kamel El Wazir, follows up on the implementation of the Light Railway Train (LRT) project (Salam City/New Administrative Capital (NAC) /10th of Ramadan City), Invest-Gate reports.
The tour starts from the Adly Mansour Station, which will include an integrated transport complex and a commercial investment area on a space of 15 acres. The station will witness the service exchange between five different transportation means, including the metro station’s third line, the LRT station, the Cairo/ Suez railway station, a superjet station, and a frequency bus (Adly Mansour /Salam City).
Moreover, El Wazir inspects the other stations and bridges of the LRT project, in which the civil work of the first and second phases has reached 91%, in addition, it includes three tunnels that are 100% complete. Besides, 73% of the civil work in the workshop is complete. Adding to that, the electromechanical work is 55.6% complete.
In this context, El Wazir stresses that all works have to be carried out, in parallel with the manufacture and supply of the remaining trains. Moreover, he follows up on the implementation of the project’s third phase.
He Further explains that President Abdel El Fattah El Sisi has directed to extend the train line to the heart of the 10th of Ramadan city, in the project’s fourth phase.
