Tourist Influx in Egypt Rise 55% in Q3

The number of tourists coming to Egypt increased by 55% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2017, in keeping with an upward trend, Ahram Online reports, based on figures released by the state statistics body CAPMAS.

The number of tourists exceeded 2.3 mn in Q3-17, compared to just over 1.5 mn in Q3-16, CAPMAS says in its report.

Egypt’s tourism revenues rose 211.8% year-on-year to USD 5.3 bn in the first nine months of 2017, Reuters quoted government official as saying in October.
