Damac Properties Chairman, Hussain Sajwani, spoke about US President-Elect Donald Trump’s positive impact on sales and his status as a strong brand, reported CNN Money on Monday.
The president-elect’s name decorates the entrance of Damac’s $6 bn Akoya development where the Trump International Golf Course is set to open in 2017. Sajwani claimed that Trump was “in no way discriminative. He doesn’t discriminate against sex, religion or anything else.”
Famously Trump’s name had been removed from Akoya’s entrance after his call for a ban on muslims entering the US. Sajwani though said it had only been taken down for maintenance and was back within 48 hours.
The chairman also stated his belief that the Trump brand is strong and had become only stronger over the past months, saying he thought “it will have a positive impact on sales.”
