Tekfen Construction, a subsidiary of Turkey-based Tekfen Holding, is collaborating with Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment for the construction of the Al Khor Expressway project, reported Trade Arabia.
The company stated the project is worth $2.1 billion will include a 34-km-long highway with 10 lanes, along with viaducts, road junctions, overpasses and underpasses. The project is set to be finalized in three years.
The number of Turkish projects in Qatar has currently registered 119, worth a total of $15 billion in investments, according to Ahmet Arslan, Turkish Maritime Transport and Communications Minister, according to Gulf Business.
Tekfen focuses on various construction activities, such as power generation, airports, petroleum, roadways, infrastructure projects, and building complexes.
