His Excellency Counselor Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, said that he is extremely happy to be in Egypt, which he described as “the second country for every Saudi and Arab,” stressing that the development train during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi does not stop, and that every visit he makes to Egypt reveals a different level of development in infrastructure and the national and ambitious projects being implemented by the Egyptian stat, Invest-Gate reports.

Statements on partnership and support of political leadership

Al-Sheikh added, during a press conference announcing the signing of a partnership between Sela Company and Talaat Moustafa Group, that Egypt enjoys a special and great position among everyone, noting that God has recommended Egypt and it was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, considering this a great message that reflects the value and importance of this country.

He pointed out that what is happening today of major projects and partnerships is being carried out with direct support from President El-Sisi, his directives and blessings, which contributed to accomplishing matters easily and smoothly, and sent a clear message that Egypt is a safe and attractive country for investment.

The head of the General Entertainment Authority affirmed that his testimony regarding businessman Hesham Talaat Moustafa is “biased,” recalling his memories at the beginning of the 2000s when he visited one of the off-plan real estate projects in a then-remote area of the Talaat Moustafa Group, explaining that he was at that time questioning the feasibility of investing in such areas, before they later turned into one of the most important real estate areas in Egypt. He noted that Hesham Talaat Moustafa later managed to expand regionally and globally, becoming one of the most prominent real estate developers, and also achieved remarkable success in his project in Saudi Arabia with massive sales through off-plan selling.

The future of entertainment and events in Egypt

Al-Sheikh pointed out that the new cooperation with Talaat Moustafa Group, along with the partnership with Omar Hesham Talaat Moustafa and Dr. Rakan Al-Harthi, will represent a “Game Changer” in the entertainment world in the region, noting that the new project will not be limited only to residential units, but will represent a qualitative leap in the entertainment and events sector.

He added that Sela Company will play an important role in placing the region on the global events map, so that it becomes part of the agendas of major international artists and their concert tours, explaining that an artist who used to perform one concert in Saudi Arabia will be able to hold another concert in Egypt as part of an integrated tour in the Middle East.

Al-Sheikh explained that the coming period will witness surprises and major global events in the North Coast during the next year, stressing that what is being planned will make a major leap in the entertainment and tourism industry in the region, and will enhance Egypt’s position as a primary destination for global events.

The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority emphasized that Egypt is always in the heart of every Saudi and every Arab, citing what he described as the recommendations of King Abdulaziz Al Saud to his sons regarding Egypt.

He also referred to a photo of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques during his training period to participate in the 1956 war, affirming as well that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia holds great affection for Egypt and has a strong relationship with President El-Sisi, reflecting the depth of historical and strategic relations between the two countries.
