Two-Month Deadline Set for Receiving Small Residential Plots, Including “Beit Al Watan” Lands

During a meeting chaired by Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar, the Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) approved a two-month period for the submission of applications to acquire small residential plots of land, excluding “Ebny Beitak” lands, Invest-Gate reports.

This also includes the lands of the “Beit Al Watan” project for Egyptians living abroad, which were previously canceled due to non-receipt.

El-Gazzar clarified that the deadline is subject to the following conditions: the implementation period begins when the land is ready for handover, the plot of land must be vacant and not reassigned or allocated to others, any cases filed with the Authority or the city agency regarding the plot of land must be withdrawn, and any outstanding payments on the plot of land should be settled from the due date until the scheduled receipt date.

Waleed Abbas, Assistant Minister of Housing for Community Affairs at NUCA, further explained that these facilitations do not involve the transfer of installments and do not apply to small residential plots of land that have already been resold at current prices and have been fully paid.

Additionally, these facilitations do not apply to the “Ebny Beitak” lands, and it is necessary that any payments made to the plot of land’s account have not been refunded.
