UAE’s Al Habtoor Preps for New Office in Cairo

UAE-based business conglomerate Al Habtoor Group (AHG) is putting the finishing touches on its newest office in Cairo, which is set for inauguration by year-end, Invest-Gate reports.

The Cairene headquarters, located in the Heliopolis area, will act as a liaison unit between Egypt and AHG’s Emirati and international operations. It shall also scour for local opportunities becoming of the group’s diversified portfolio, as highlighted in the press release on October 7.

Egypt will become AHG’s sixth destination for business outside the UAE, following its presence in the US and UK, as well as, Austria, Hungary, and Lebanon, the statement noted.

Khalaf Al Habtoor, the company’s founding chairman, stated, “Despite the world economic situation, Egypt is an important market to be in, with tremendous possibilities due to the reforms implemented by the Egyptian government and the infrastructural expansions taking place.”

“I have been exploring the opportunities in Egypt for some time, and I am keen on being present there. We are in the process of studying a few prospects at present, which we will announce in due course,” Al Habtoor added.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, AHG eyes investment grabs in the hospitality, automotive, real estate, and education sectors.
