The project will be developed in collaboration with the landowner, or Egyptian Judges Club, UPMS said in a bourse filing on October 8.
Under the deal, UPMS will implement ten residential buildings, which represent 40% of the project’s total area, excluding the commercial mall.
Works at New Minya is in full swing to start welcoming residents soon. The new city will shortly see the completion of a wastewater treatment plant, with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters per day as a first phase, the Ministry of Housing said back in July.
In January 2018, NUCA announced that a total of 5,256 social housing units, covering 140 acres, are underway in New Minya, as part of the state’s efforts to accommodate Egypt’s growing population, according to an earlier statement.
