Ali Saad, Head of the Shorouk City Development Authority, announced the completion of the latest road project in the city, Invest-Gate reports.

The project involves the implementation of a traffic corridor that transfers traffic from the eastern axis to the residential areas. It is located on the road separating the site of the Abad Al-Rahman National Housing Buildings and the Giza Company Compound.

Saad explained that the road consists of two lanes in each direction. The works included the implementation of the surface asphalt layer, pedestrian sidewalks, a central island, lighting, guiding and warning signs, and rainwater drainage wells, in addition to the execution of utility networks.

Furthermore, Saad added that the preparation works, waste removal, and utility extension have been completed. The other direction is being prepared for pavement implementation and the road’s entry into service.

Also, Saad announced the completion of the implementation and operation of a booster (a device for regulating water pressure and flow) as an urgent solution to regulate the water network pressures in the Family Housing area and some neighboring areas.

Moreover, Saad met with officials from Telecom Egypt to discuss the problems of connecting landline telephone and internet services in areas such as Janna, Sakan Masr, and some residential areas in the city’s eastern part.

Saad further explained that the meeting addressed some complaints from contractors regarding landline connections, as they could not connect and activate the service in the Sakan Misr and Janna projects and some residential areas. The meeting also discussed general internet service malfunctions, ground room provision, coverage, and rehabilitation.

Regarding the rehabilitation and renewal of the cabinets, a plan is being implemented to enhance efficiency and to ensure smooth and improved service in the city. Saad emphasized that the city authority will spare no effort to enhance the services, whether they are under its jurisdiction or not.
