Uptown 6 October has officially begun construction on the Kingdom of Knowledge International School in partnership with Global School Management (GSM), a leading international operator managing more than 165 schools worldwide. The school is scheduled to open for the 2027/2028 academic year, Invest-Gate reports.
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together key leaders from the project’s partners, including Eng. Ahmed Abouzaid, Chairman of Uptown 6 October Group of Companies, Moataz Shaarawy, Chairman of Uptown 6 October for Investment and Educational Development, Ron Packard, Founder and CEO of Global School Management, and Professor Sean Robinson, CEO of GSM Middle East. They were joined by board members, subsidiary directors, and development teams overseeing this world-class educational facility.
The school will be developed on a 20,000 sqm purpose-built campus designed for 1,680 students, delivering the British National Curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through Sixth Form. Facilities will include 70 technology-enabled classrooms, advanced science labs, a Technology and Innovation Hub, extensive library and learning center, specialist art and music spaces, a 400-seat theater, sports facilities featuring a full-size football pitch, multi-sport courts, and comprehensive student well-being services.
