Uptown 6 October has signed a strategic partnership with Fawry Dahab, Egypt’s leading fintech company, to implement a comprehensive electronic payment system for its real estate clients, Invest-Gate reports.
The collaboration aims to enhance transaction efficiency, support Egypt’s digital transformation, and advance the “Green Uptown October” initiative in line with Vision 2030.
Under the agreement, Fawry will offer services including electronic payments for down payments, installments, and utility bills, as well as transactions via the MyFawry and Uptowner apps, and cash payments through its nationwide merchant network. Uptown’s sales offices will be equipped with advanced POS devices accepting all bank cards, and a co-branded payment gateway will provide multiple payment options through wallets, cards, and cash.
Mr. Moataz Shaarawy, Co-CEO of Uptown 6 October Group, said the partnership will reduce paper transactions by up to 95% and streamline the property ownership process, reflecting the company’s vision of building smart, sustainable communities.
Mr. Waleed El Sayed, Chairman of Fawry Dahab, noted the booming real estate sector and emphasized Fawry’s commitment to delivering flexible, nationwide digital payment solutions.
The deal also includes a dedicated payment system for Uptown’s suppliers and contractors, enabling direct settlements through Fawry’s transfer platform for greater transparency and faster transaction cycles. Both companies will launch awareness campaigns to promote a culture of digital payments.
The partnership strengthens Uptown’s customer experience and operational efficiency, while expanding Fawry’s reach in the real estate sector and providing valuable payment data for tailored financial solutions.
