Uptown 6 October Developments welcomed a high-level Russian business delegation in a landmark visit marking a new phase of economic cooperation between Egypt and Russia, following the company’s recent official visit to Moscow, Invest-Gate report.
Held under the framework of the “General Economic Cooperation” program organized by the Russian Foreign Trade Academy, the visit represented a major step toward deepening bilateral partnerships in real estate development, construction, trade, and urban innovation.
The delegation toured key Uptown 6 October landmarks, including Grand Uptown Mall, a luxury retail destination inspired by Moscow’s iconic GUM department store; Uptown Residences, offering villa-style living within modern residential complexes; Signature Homes, featuring villas and twin houses for families seeking an upscale community lifestyle; and the Kingdom of Knowledge International School, an elite institution providing international curricula from kindergarten through high school.
The Russian delegation included senior executives and entrepreneurs from various sectors such as Mirage Hotel (tourism and hospitality), which explored partnerships in smart hotel systems and luxury tourism; Travel Service Russ / Noboru (travel and consumer goods), examining supply opportunities for tourism-related products; and Doodorz (construction and design), discussing collaboration in architectural and hotel design.
During the visit, Uptown 6 October’s management showcased its future development strategy and discussed cooperation opportunities in building materials, technology transfer, hospitality management, retail expansion, innovative F&B concepts, and education.
This visit underscored the growing strength of Egyptian–Russian economic ties, grounded in mutual interests and a history of friendship. Through its flagship project, Grand Uptown Mall, Uptown 6 October continues to serve as a platform for economic collaboration blending Russian heritage with Egyptian innovation.
Beyond a traditional field tour, the event embodied a shared strategic vision to enhance investment and knowledge exchange in real estate technology, smart project management, and international trade. It also reaffirmed Uptown 6 October’s commitment to promoting partnerships between Egyptian and Russian companies, emphasizing sustainable development and mixed-use projects that create jobs and drive long-term growth.
As part of its continued efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, Uptown 6 October Developments will host a second Russian delegation from the Sverdlovsk Region on November 17, 2025, led by Deputy Governor Alexey Kuznetsov and featuring representatives from ten major industrial companies. The upcoming visit will focus on collaboration in building materials, industrial technologies, and retail during the “Egypt–Sverdlovsk Region Business Forum: New Horizons for Economic Cooperation” at Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi.
