Urbacon Trading and Contracting (UCC) ranked first in the Arab world, Africa, and 105 globally in the Engineering News-Record (ENR) international list of the best contracting companies in the world in 2022, Invest-Gate reports.
Orascom ranked second at the Arab and African level and 111th globally, followed by Arab Contractors, which came in third place at the Arab and African levels and 142 globally. The ENR platform is one of the leading providers of News, data, and analysis on the construction sector in the world.
Moreover, UCC succeeded in advancing 27 ranks in the 2022 ranking compared to the 132nd rank globally in 2021, where the expansions achieved by the company and its capabilities contributed to achieving this global rank.
UCC owns various constructions portfolio and many notable projects in the infrastructure field, heavy construction, buildings, and marine contracting, which contribute to the growth of the national economy in Qatar. The company also expands its work in the energy sector and public-private partnership projects.
Additionally, UCC plans to list on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) in Q1 2024, and it contracts with two international companies in this field. The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) completed the development of the Securities Offering and Listing System, which was applied in April 2021. This system offers many facilities that provide the offering and listing operations ease and confidence in the QSE.
It is noteworthy that one of the most important listing and offering activities in 2021, is the listing of two companies in the second market, namely Al-Faleh Educational Holding and Mekdam Holding Group.
