Urban Business Lane: A Transformative Commercial Hub in New Cairo

In a strategic move to redefine commercial and administrative development in Egypt, Al Tameer Engineering Consultants has launched its landmark project, Urban Business Lane (UBL), Invest-Gate reports.

Located next to the American University in Cairo, New Cairo, the project spans over 155,000 sqm and represents a significant investment in Egypt’s economic growth.

UBL is part of the broader “Urban Walk” master project, envisioned as the “Downtown” of Fifth Settlement, integrating commercial, administrative, and recreational elements. Designed around the concept of “Work Beyond the Walls,” UBL offers a modern work environment combining indoor offices with open spaces and gardens. This innovative approach caters to local and global companies seeking a progressive, flexible workspace.

Saeed El Wazzan, Chairman of Al Tameer, expressed pride in UBL, describing it as a game-changer in business complexes. “It’s more than just a commercial hub; it’s a dynamic ecosystem supporting local and international business communities,” he said. Inspired by iconic Cairo neighborhoods like Maadi and Zamalek, UBL blends global architectural trends with local charm.

The project is designed by French firm Architecturestudio, renowned for global landmarks like the European Parliament in Strasbourg and Bahrain’s National Theatre. The firm’s involvement ensures that UBL meets cutting-edge global standards, incorporating environmentally sustainable and innovative designs.

Mohamed Younes, Al Tameer’s Commercial Sector Head, highlighted UBL’s appeal to diverse businesses. “It offers meticulously designed administrative and commercial spaces, making it an ideal destination for large enterprises and entrepreneurs alike,” he noted.
