Urban Communities Officials Participate in “Green Economy in Egypt” Workshop

Gamal Talaat, assistant vice president of the New Urban Communities Authority, and Donia Rabie, Executive Director of NUCA, participate in a workshop entitled “Green Economy Opportunities and Challenges”, organized by the Center for Sustainable Development in Zewail City for Science and Technology, Invest-Gate reports.

Talaat says that the workshop witnessed the participation of a large number of representatives of relevant ministries and investors interested in investment opportunities in the green economy, as well as researchers in universities and research centers.

During the workshop, Talaat gives a presentation entitled “New Cities towards a Sustainable Green Economy”, explaining all the projects implemented by the Urban Communities Authority in general.

Also, he reviews the efforts to reduce the energy used within the facilities, especially in the President’s initiative “Housing for All Egyptians”, through the use of new types of paint, flooring, and insulation materials.

For her part, Donia Rabie notes that the workshop also aims to maximize ideas and actions that aim at sustainability and develop green economy concepts.

At the end of the workshop, a set of recommendations have developed that aim to the growth of the green economy in Egypt.
