Utility Projects in Badr City Accelerate Amid Increased Development Rates

Radwan Abdel Rashid, the head of the Badr City Development Authority, emphasized the significant progress made in the implementation of utility projects in the city, Invest-Gate reports.

This progress is attributed to the increased development rates within the city. During his inspection of the wastewater lifting station project in the third phase of the 800-feddan industrial developer zone, which features an expulsion line measuring 400 mm in diameter and 1,050 meters in length, Abdel Rashid was accompanied by project officials and personnel.

Officials from the Authority closely monitored the construction work at the station, which is expected to be completed within the current year. The installation of electromechanical equipment at the station has already been finished.

Abdel Rashid provided details about the station, stating that it comprises four pumps, each with a capacity of 52 liters/second and a lifting height of 32 meters to transport industrial wastewater to the industrial drainage complex. Additionally, the station includes a generator building, fuel tanks, a warehouse, a security room, and a transformer building.

In a related context, Abdel Rashid also inspected the sewage lift station project No. 8, along with the expulsion line measuring 1,200 mm in diameter and spanning a length of 9,500 meters. This project aims to transport 150 thousand m3/day of wastewater from Badr City to the capital’s slope complex, in response to the increased development rates within the city.

Housing Ministry officials also assessed the operation of the sewage lifting station, which facilitates the transportation of sewage from the security complex area and the Capital Gardens City to the oxidation ponds as an urgent solution.
