Water and Utilities Projects to be Developed, Port Said and Ismailia

The installation of water and sanitation utilities to 10,821 units in the governorate of Port Said, serving about 1.2 mn people has been completed, Invest-Gate reports.

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly announces the completion of utilities installation to 10,821 units for social housing in Port Said. Sanitation utilities are being installed into poor villages, covering 27 thousand people at Kilo 2 Area in Ismailia at a cost of EGP 12 mn. Also, villages in Fardan Area, with a population of about four thousand, will also have sanitation utilities by next December, the ministry states.

At a cost of EGP 50 mn, Arab Contractors Company will resume the water plant expansions in West Qantara in Ismailia, “which will be finished next June,” Madbouly says.

Chairman of the National Potable Water and Sewage Sayed El-Ashry states that water plants are currently being installed in Samakeen Area at a costs of EGP 10 mn; in addition to, the building of water tanks in Wadi Al Mullak, which will be finished next March and another water sanitation in ‘Future City’, which will be finished next September.

The ministry is currently embarking on 12 other projects in the governorates of Port Said and Ismailia.
