Waterex Expo Hosts 120 Companies Specialized in Water Purification

The International Exhibition for Water Purification, Desalination and Sewage Treatment “Watrex Expo” kicked off on May 15th, with the participation of more than 120 international and local companies in the field of water purification, Invest-Gate reports.

Abdul Qawi Khalifa, the former Minister of Utilities, and many countries’ ambassadors participated in the event.

Khalifa says that this exhibition confirms that Egypt has joined the era of water industry and technology, and represents a real opportunity for all workers in the drinking water and sanitation sector, noting that the state is currently working on implementing huge infrastructure projects, which increases the development rate.

The country is keeping pace with the era of desalination technology, which contributes to increasing advertisements on the use of seawater and feeding the border provinces, which relieves pressure on the Nile.

At the same time, the organizing company of the exhibition confirms that “Watrex Expo” achieves unprecedented successes during the previous sessions, which explains the great demand by international companies in various countries to participate in this exhibition.

Additionally, the exhibition’s running round is hosting companies that are participating in the implementation of national projects, especially those implementing “Hayah Karima” initiative.

The Watrex Expo takes place on an area of 20,000 sqm, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, the largest platform for manufacturers and importers to meet with consultants and executive engineers of major projects.

Also, the exhibition has allocated about 16 international pavilions, representing major companies working in the field of water and wastewater technology
