The 7th edition of the international exhibition for wastewater and water treatment technologies (WATREX Expo 2023) is set to kick off on Monday, 15 May, in Egypt under the auspices of Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing and Urban Communities, Invest-Gate reports.
The event will be located at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the Fifth Settlement, New Cairo.
El-Gazzar will inaugurate the activities of the exhibition which will continue for 3 days, with the participation of 200 Egyptian, foreign, and Arab companies.
Doaa Abdel-Hadi, CEO of WATREX Expo 2023, states that the exhibition this year receives great attention from officials and the government in light of the state’s tendency towards desalination of seawater and treatment of sewage and industrial wastewater for reuse.
She explained that WATREX is specialized in the field of infrastructure for water purification and desalination, sewage treatment, industrial and agricultural wastewater treatment, and various irrigation systems.
Abdel-Hadi points out that the exhibition this session includes more than 200 exhibiting companies, including 50 foreign companies, for which 18 international pavilions are allocated in the exhibition from America – Germany – Italy – the Netherlands – Saudi Arabia – South Africa – India – China – Turkey – Russia – Austria – Switzerland – the Emirates – Denmark
The event is expected to attract over 23,000 specialized visitors and more than 11 ambassadors from Arab, African and foreign countries.
Furthermore, the CEO reveals that during the exhibition, 3 joint manufacturing protocols will be signed between local Egyptian companies and foreign companies from America, Turkey and Austria.
The protocol aims to transfer and localise the water industry, water pumps and waste treatment of all kinds in Egypt and benefit from the advanced international technology in this field in Egypt.
