The World Health Organization (WHO) stated “Egypt has a good opportunity to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) with the efforts of both government and society as well,” according to Ahram Online, the state-owned news portal.

“There is a critical opportunity to control the outbreak of the virus plus preventing community transmission,” the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office said on Twitter.

Furthermore, the organization honored what it described as the “solid work being done in Egypt to control the outbreak,” as reported by Ahram Online.

The WHO said further it will continue working with Egypt to “enhance the infection prevention and control it at all levels by identifying alternative mechanisms for testing patients, and coordinating public communication, especially with vulnerable groups.”
