Egypt has constructed about 84% of the 15 coastal towers being undertaken in New Alamein, which are scheduled for finalization in 2021, Invest-Gate reports.
Further, construction at the North Coast’s Downtown New Alamein is more than 65% complete, featuring about 1,320 houses (40 residential buildings), Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar revealed in an official statement on August 24.
With areas ranging from 90 to 300 square meters, residential modules in the Downtown area vary from apartments to townhouses, El Gazzar indicated, stating that another 1,920 homes are underway as part of the city’s distinguished housing project.
According to the minister, merely 4,096 residences are also under construction in the New Alamein Dar Misr middle-income housing project, spreading across 128 buildings, which has exceeded an implementation rate of 65%.
The 404-acre Latin Quarter is also seeing the execution of 249 buildings, extending across six residential districts, whereby concrete works are 40% done. Additionally, a 700-acre integrated project is underway in the beach area, encompassing multiple residential and commercial components.
Besides, the Latin Quarter’s heritage city, which is being developed over 260 acres, is almost 60% finished, featuring approximately 70 mixed-use establishments, varying between the cinema complex, Roman theater, central park, amongst others, the minister concluded, adding that the New Alamein International University for Sciences and Technology is prepping to host students starting from next academic year.
