The Minister of Transportation is following up this week on updates to the fourth phase of the Haroun–Nozha metro line, Invest-Gate reports.
The 5.15 km third line of the metro runs from Haroun station and extends to include 5 other stations developed at an investment cost of EGP 4.3 bn. Due to be finalized in April 2018, the line will extend to Shams Club, while works on the Nozha station will be complete by October 2018, according to a statement released by Cairo governorate. The second part of the metro’s phase four 6.37 km third line, Hesham Barakat- Adly Mansour, is worth a total investment cost of EGP 5.9 bn and will be finalized in February 2019.
Construction works previously commenced on the fourth phase of the third line in April 2015 with involvement from France’s Vinci. The second part of the fourth phase of the metro’s third line has been in progress since last July and is expected to pass through areas in Masr El Gedida, Nozha, Gesr El Suez, and Salam City. It will also be finalized in 2018.
