Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar announced that 468 buildings, with 11,232 residential units, are underway at the JANNA luxury housing project in New Mansoura, Invest-Gate reports.
El Gazzar added that concrete structures are finalized for 433 buildings in the same residential project, while its finishing works are ongoing, according to an official statement on February 2.
As for Sakan Misr middle-income project, the minister revealed that 4,704 units, or 196 buildings, are being established, while concrete structures are completed for 180 buildings, according to the statement
Additionally, 1,149 villas, with a total of 2,103 units, are also being implemented in New Mansoura, where concrete structures are completed for 500 villas. Works are also ongoing on another 1,392 distinguished, coastal units.
Talking of infrastructure projects in the new city, El Gazzar highlighted that a new desalination water station is 15% complete, with a total capacity of 160,000 cubic meters per day.
Besides, a transformer station, with a total capacity of 500 megavolt amperes, is being constructed, in addition to potable water, irrigation, wastewater, and road projects.
In June 2019, the minister revealed that 4,704 housing units, spreading across 196 separate buildings, are 82% done at New Mansoura’s Sakan Misr. Another 11,232 housing units, or 468 buildings, are nearly 55% finished at JANNA.
