Zimbabwe Delegation Visits NAC, Explores Latest Achievements, Developments

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) welcomed a delegation from the Zimbabwean company SmartSuburb, Invest-Gate reports.

The delegation included Noel Tendai, Chairman of SmartSuburb, and included Peter Anthony, Director of the Finance Sector, along with a team of engineers and consultants. Shebba Shumbaya Wonda, the Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Cairo, accompanied them during their visit to ACUD.

The purpose of their visit to the New Administrative Capital (NAC) was to explore and benefit from the project and the experiences gained during its implementation, while providing assistance to establish a smart city in the Mount Hampden area of Zimbabwe.

During the visit, various aspects of cooperation were discussed to contribute to the establishment of the smart city in Zimbabwe. This involved engaging in discussions, lectures, and knowledge transfer.

The delegation had the opportunity to learn about the implementation, operation, and management of the NAC using different technologies. They also visited command and control centers, data centers, and gained insights into infrastructure projects such as electricity, renewable energy, water, green construction principles, visual identity, developer partnerships, and strategies for maximizing returns and profitability. Architects and specialists from ACUD actively participated in these sessions.

Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of ACUD, and the company’s leaders led the meeting with the visiting delegation. The delegation expressed their great admiration for the remarkable achievements accomplished in the NAC within a short period of time. They also showed a keen interest in benefiting from the outcomes of Egypt’s urban renaissance and transferring the Egyptian experience to their country.

Furthermore, the visit included an introductory tour of prominent landmarks, such as the electricity and central cooling stations, the government district, the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, People’s Square, and the City of Arts and Culture.
